Private Sessions

Initial Assessment + Standard Consult

Clinical Group Physio is individually tailored to your personal goals, thus it is of the utmost importance to book in for an initial assessment with one of our Physiotherapists. This will help create a program maximizing treatment effectiveness and minimizing risk of further injury.

This is normally followed by 1-2 standard consults to familiarize yourself with the designated program and the use of equipment.

Whether you are new to Flexed, or returning to this format after a lay-off period, this is your first point of call prior to joining one of our classes.

Fitness vs Clinical

Clinical Group

Guided by qualified physiotherapist, clinical group sessions may incorporate some principles from the traditional Pilates technique such as posture, core stability, balance, control, strength, flexibility and breathing. In addition your physio will provide evidence-based, individually tailored exercises to suit your body needs, delivered within a therapeutic framework. This is done in conjunction with a physiotherapy treatment to assist in pain management and treat injuries such as the neck, shoulder, hip, knee and back.

Fitness Pilates

Developed by Joseph Pilates nearly 100 years ago, Pilates focuses on developing and strengthening the body’s core. Based on the Pilates principles of alignment, centring, concentration, control, precision, breathing and flowing movement, Pilates requires patience and dedication to master techniques and form rather than pushing for a burn. It is a medium to low impact exercise which will help to lengthen the body and align your spine, promoting longer, leaner muscles, rather than bulking.

There are numerous benefits to fitness Pilates including slimming, improving your overall flexibility, improvement in mobility, stress relief, improved body awareness just to name a few.

Classes incorporate a broad-range of exercises, which differs from session to session, that will help to improve your fitness and overall body strength.

Pilates during and post Pregnancy

Pregnancy (Antenatal) Pilates

Pregnancy Pilates is an individually tailored program, following a comprehensive assessment with one of our qualified physiotherapists. Following a similar format to our clinical group
sessions, it focuses on strengthening your core and pelvic floor muscles, stretching, relaxation, postural awareness and general muscle strengthening. This will aim in improving endurance during
labour, increasing energy levels during pregnancy, reducing low back, pelvic and postural pain during and after pregnancy, and preventing separation of abdominal muscles.

Mums n Bubs (Postnatal) Pilates

Mums n Bubs Pilates is a postnatal reformer class guided by one of our qualified physiotherapists, where babies are welcome. Following a similar format to our fitness pilates sessions, it focuses on strengthening your core and pelvic floor muscles, and general muscle strengthening. Exercises will differ from session to session, with the aim on returning the body to its pre-pregnancy fitness level.
