Josh started Flexed Australia. Born and raised in Melbourne, he completed his Bachelor of Physiotherapy at Melbourne University. Since then he has been working in private practice, dealing in the management of musculoskeletal and sports injuries, teaching Pilates, as well treating the elderly in the aged care environment. Josh was the Australian Physiotherapist at the World Maccabiah Games in Brazil (2011) and Israel (2013), and the Head Physiotherapist at the recent Maccabiah in Israel (2017).
Josh is a very active person, being a keen Crossfitter since 2007 and is a Certified Level 1 Crossfit Trainer (CF-L1 Trainer). In his spare time, he loves watching live sport, and is a particularly one-eyed supporter of the Collingwood Magpies.
Julia joined the Flexed team in 2015. She completed her Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics at Monash University. Julia is extremely passionate about the role nutrition can play in affecting your health.
Julia is lively, personable and friendly with a love for food. In her spare time, she enjoys going to the ballet, visiting food markets, going to gym and Pilates, watching movies and having a good night out with friends.
Vatche graduated from Melbourne University’s Doctor of Physiotherapy program after completing his Bachelor of Science at Monash University. Vatche has spent the last year working as a Physio in Aged Care with an emphasis on pain management, balance retraining and functional rehabilitation. He also shares a keen interest in Pilates and functional training.
Born in Australia of Armenian heritage, Vatche speaks fluent Armenian and has participated in traditional Armenian dancing for many years. Outside work, he enjoys spending his spare time outdoors exploring nature and catching up with family and friends and enjoys sports such as martial arts, futsal and basketball.
Jaslyen is the newest member of our Flexed Team. Born and raised in Canada, she moved to Australia two years ago. She completed an undergraduate degree in Kinesiology at the University of the Fraser Valley in Abbotsford, British Columbia. Followed by a Doctor of Physiotherapy at Bond University in the Gold Coast. She had the opportunity to complete international placements in Da Nang, Vietnam as well as Stanford, USA. She was also involved in research with the Bond University Tactical Research Unit looking at fitness testing and survivability in selection of SWAT personnel. Jaslyen has an interest in sports injuries and chronic pain management.
A second generation Canadian, Jaslyen is very proud of her Indian heritage. She is fluent in English, French and Punjabi. Outside of work, she enjoys being active playing sports, berry farming, traveling as much as possible and catching up with friends and family. She is a die-hard University of North Carolina Tar Heels and Golden State Warriors fan. She is trying to get her head around AFL, but seems to be having some difficulties.
